Getting Started
How do I create my first story?
Click "Create Story" and chat with Owlydoo. You'll describe your child's character, pick a theme, and our AI will generate a unique personalized story with beautiful illustrations — all in under 5 minutes.
Do I need to create an account?
Yes, a free account lets you save your stories, manage characters, and access your library from any device.
Is Owlydoo safe for children?
Absolutely. All content is generated with strict child-safety filters. Stories are age-appropriate, positive, and educational. Parents maintain full control over all content.
Creating Stories
How long does it take to generate a story?
Most stories are generated in 2–5 minutes. You'll see a progress indicator while your book is being created.
Can I edit a story after it's generated?
Yes! After your book is generated, you can preview every page, adjust the text, and regenerate individual illustrations until you're happy with the result.
What themes and settings are available?
Enchanted forests, underwater kingdoms, space adventures, fairy tales, dinosaur expeditions, superhero missions, and many more. You can also describe your own custom theme and our AI will bring it to life.
Can I create stories for multiple children?
Yes! Create multiple character profiles and generate unique stories for each child. Stories can also feature a buddy character — a sibling, friend, or even a pet.
Characters & Illustrations
How do I create a character?
During the story creation flow, you'll provide your child's name, age, and appearance details. Our AI uses this to make your child the hero of the story with consistent illustrations on every page.
Can I upload a photo of my child?
Yes! You can optionally upload a reference photo to help our AI create illustrations that better represent your child. Photos are securely stored and only used for your stories.
Are illustrations included with every story?
Yes — every story comes with beautiful AI-generated illustrations on every page. Illustrations are included with both digital and printed books.
Pricing & Payment
How much does a book cost?
A digital book is €9.90 (one-time). A printed book is €24.90 (includes shipping). No subscriptions — you pay per book.
Is this a subscription?
No. Owlydoo uses simple one-time payments. You pay only for the books you create — no recurring charges.
Do you offer refunds?
Since each book is uniquely generated, we don't offer refunds on digital books. For printed books with quality issues, contact us and we'll make it right.
How do I update my payment method?
Go to Account Settings to manage your payment information. All payments are securely handled by Stripe.
Printing & Sharing
Can I print my stories?
Yes! Every book comes as a high-quality PDF (300 DPI) ready for printing at home or through any print service. You can also order a professionally printed book directly through Owlydoo.
Can I share stories with family members?
You can share your digital book with family and friends. The PDF can be read on any device.
How is the printed book delivered?
Printed books are delivered to your door. Shipping is included in the €24.90 price. Delivery times vary by location.
Technical Issues
The page isn't loading properly. What should I do?
Try refreshing the page, clearing your browser cache, or using a different browser. If the issue persists, contact our support team.
My story generation seems stuck.
Story generation usually takes 2–5 minutes. If it's been longer than 10 minutes, try refreshing the page. Your progress is saved, and the story will appear in your library once complete.
I can't log into my account.
Try resetting your password using the "Forgot Password" link on the sign-in page. If you still have trouble, email support@owlydoo.com.
