How do I create my first story?
After signing up, click "Create Story" from your dashboard. You'll be guided through a simple questionnaire to set up your child's character, choose a theme, and customize the adventure. Our AI will then generate a unique, personalized story!
Do I need to create an account?
Yes, you need to create a free account to use Owlydoo. This allows you to save your stories, create characters, and access your library from any device.
Is Owlydoo safe for children?
Absolutely! Owlydoo is designed by parents, for families. All content is generated with strict safety filters to ensure stories are age-appropriate, positive, and educational. Parents maintain full control over all content.
📚Creating Stories
How long does it take to generate a story?
Most stories are generated in 2-5 minutes, depending on the length and complexity. You'll see a progress indicator while your magical story is being created!
Can I edit a story after it's generated?
Currently, stories are generated as complete adventures. If you'd like a different version, you can generate a new story with adjusted settings. We're working on editing features for the future!
What themes and settings are available?
We offer a wide variety of themes including enchanted forests, underwater kingdoms, space adventures, fairy tales, dinosaur expeditions, superhero missions, and many more! New themes are added regularly.
Can I create stories for multiple children?
Yes! You can create multiple character profiles in your account and generate personalized stories for each child. Some stories can even feature siblings as co-adventurers!
🎨Characters & Illustrations
How do I create a character for my child?
In the story creation flow, you'll be asked to provide your child's name, age, and optional traits like interests and appearance. Our AI uses this information to make your child the hero of every story!
Can I upload a photo of my child?
Yes! You can optionally upload a photo to help our AI create illustrations that better represent your child. Photos are securely stored and only used for your stories.
Are illustrations included with every story?
Yes! Every story comes with beautiful AI-generated illustrations that match the narrative. The number of illustrations depends on your subscription plan.
💳Account & Billing
What subscription plans do you offer?
We offer flexible plans to suit every family. Visit our pricing page to see current plans, features, and pricing. All plans include story generation, illustrations, and your personal library.
Can I cancel my subscription anytime?
Yes, you can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Your access continues until the end of your current billing period, and you keep all stories you've created.
Do you offer refunds?
We don't offer refunds for partial subscription periods. However, if you're having issues with the service, please contact us and we'll do our best to help!
How do I update my payment method?
Go to Account Settings → Billing → Update Payment Method. Your payment information is securely handled by Stripe.

Can I print my stories?
Yes! You can download your stories as high-quality PDFs ready for printing at home or through a professional print service. Perfect for creating keepsake books!
Can I share stories with family members?
You can share story links with family and friends. They'll be able to read the story online. For printing rights, they'll need their own account.
What print quality do you support?
Our PDFs are generated at 300 DPI, suitable for professional-quality printing. We recommend using a print-on-demand service for hardcover or softcover books.
🔧Technical Issues
The page isn't loading properly. What should I do?
Try refreshing the page, clearing your browser cache, or using a different browser. If the issue persists, please contact our support team.
My story generation seems stuck. What happened?
Story generation usually takes 2-5 minutes. If it's been longer than 10 minutes, try refreshing the page. Your progress is saved, and the story will appear in your library once complete.
I can't log into my account.
Try resetting your password using the "Forgot Password" link on the sign-in page. If you still have trouble, contact support with your account email.
